Cole Park Playground and Splash Pad Officially Open

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX—The newest amenities to the Bayfront are now available as the City of Corpus Christi opened the Cole Park playground and splash pad today.

The new and more extensive play-for-all playground, which replaced the previous aged structure, features swings, shaded areas, slides, musical instruments, and a unique sea turtle climbing structure. It also includes durable shock-absorbing surfacing, ADA accessibility, drainage improvements, and bench seating. The playground is designed to accommodate children between the ages of 5 and 12, including those with mobility challenges.

The highly anticipated splash pad offers 23 interactive water features for children of all ages. These features include bucket trios, pirate cannons, jet streams, a towering water structure, a ground-level geyser and an ADA-accessible play area. The splash pad is enclosed by a safety fence, with synthetic turf surrounding the area and paved pathways.

The community is invited to experience Cole Park's newest additions and amenities that this iconic public area offers.
