City to Host Fair Housing Community Meeting
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Your input is needed to help identify fair housing issues in the City. The information will help develop goals and plans to improve equal and fair housing choice for all residents. A community meeting will take place Thursday, August 10, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Salvation Army Meeting Room, 1802 Buford Street.
Citizens and other interesting parties are invited to drop in anytime and contribute to the discussion. The input provided will assist the City in preparing the assessment of fair housing study, which is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in order to receive federal housing and community development funding.
Reasonable accommodations are provided upon request and in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. For assistance or to request a reasonable accommodation, please call (361) 826-3816 at least 48 hours in advance.
As part of the assessment of fair housing, the City has also developed a fair housing survey for residents. The online survey can be found at www.cctexas.com/fairhousingassessment and is available now through Friday, August 18, 2017.
