City to Conduct Annual Maintenance of Collier Pool

Three-Day Annual Process to Ensure Proper Water Quality in Pool

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning on Friday, September 17, the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department will temporarily close Collier Pool, located at 3801 Harris Drive, for planned annual maintenance. After the three-day process, the pool will reopen for its regular schedule on Monday, September 20, 2021:

Monday - Friday Schedule:

5:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday - Sunday Schedule:

10:00 a.m. To 1:00 p.m.

This annual procedure is necessary to maintain the calcium levels and optimize the balance of chemicals in the pool. It is set to take place during the fall ahead of the winter months, when the pool will need to be heated to accommodate year-round use.

During this maintenance period, swimmers are invited to use the Corpus Christi Natatorium, located at 3202 Cabaniss Parkway. On Friday, September 17, the Natatorium will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, September 18, and Sunday, September 19, the Natatorium will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
