City Seeks Input for Padre/Mustang Island Mobility Plan
Open House Scheduled for October 25
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi Office of Economic Development is working with a design firm to create a plan for active mobility for Padre/Mustang Island. The community can learn more about the plan and provide input at an open house meeting on Wednesday, October 25, at the Seashore Middle Academy Cafeteria, 15437 S. Padre Island Drive.
This plan will guide the future development, policy initiatives, programs, and public investments regarding pedestrian, cycling, golf cart, and watercraft mobility in the Padre/Mustang Island neighborhoods.
The open house meeting will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with opening remarks at 6:00 p.m.
Members of the public are also invited to give their input through the online survey available on the project website, https://www.cctexas.com/padre-mustang-island-mobility-plan, beginning October 25 through November 13. After the community open house, project updates and citizen input submitted in person will be available on the website.
“We value the input of residents who live, work, and play in the Padre and Mustang Island area,” Mayor Paulette Guajardo said. “I believe that community input and involvement is necessary to fulfill the growing needs of this region. Community engagement helps to shape the future for the coming decades.”
