City Secretary Receives 2017 Pioneer Award

For efforts to streamline information with Laserfiche

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City Secretary was honored recently at the Institute for Information Management and Communication (IIMC) Conference in Montreal, Canada. Rebecca Huerta was presented with the 2017 Pioneer Award for groundbreaking efforts to streamline information management with Laserfiche. With more than 10 years of public sector experience, Ms. Huerta has worked with city staff to transform manual processes, increase transparency with electronic records management and eliminate the overwhelming amount of paper generated throughout the organization. Laserfiche is currently used across 15 different departments at the City of Corpus Christi, which has resulted in meeting Texas records retention requirements, automating government processes and saving valuable storage space and paper costs.
