August 24, 2020
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi Emergency Operations Center and the National Weather Service (NWS) continue to monitor Tropical Storm Laura. According to the latest forecast from the NWS, the system is not expected to bring large amounts of rain to the Coastal Bend area.
Due to the latest forecast, the City of Corpus Christi will not be distributing sandbags at this time. The City will move all sandbags to storage. Sandbags serve as a safeguard against flooding and City crews filled thousands for residents to use on their property as part of our storm preparation.
