City Manager Announces New Appointments

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City of Corpus Christi has two new Assistant Directors.

City Manager Peter Zanoni announced the appointments during a recent City Council meeting.

Dr. Dante Gonzalez was promoted to Assistant Director of Public Health Adsministration. Gonzalez has been with the City for nearly four years, previously serving as the Health Administrator in the Protection Division.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and was a Research Assistant at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Sarah Munoz is the new Assistant Director of Street Operations. Previously, she served as a Senior Engineer and as a Interim Assistant Director in Streets and Parks and Recreation. 

Munoz began her career at the Texas Department of Transportation as an Engineering Assistant. She has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a Licensed Professional Engineer. Munoz has worked for the city for six years.
