City Earns Recognition from Government Treasurers’ Organization of Texas

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A “Certificate of Distinction” has been awarded to the City of Corpus Christi following the recent approval of its investment policy!

The policy was adopted by City Council on December 4, 2018 and has been recognized by the Government Treasurers’ Organization of Texas (GTOT) Investment Policy Certification Program. The city’s investment policy details specific policies, guidelines, and strategies for the investment of the city’s public funds. The certificate from the GTOT certifies the document for two years, confirming it met all the criteria in the Public Funds Investment Act.

The GTOT’s Investment Policy Certification Program provides professional guidance in creating an investment policy and recognizes outstanding examples of written policies throughout the state.
