City Distributes Rain Barrels
Over the weekend, the City's Utilities Department employees and volunteers distributed to residents more than 1,000 rain barrels.
The City partnered with Up-Cycle Products and offered the low cost rain barrel sale.
Citizens paid $47 per barrel and were allowed to purchase up to two.
Residents turned out early Saturday morning to collect their pre-puchased rain barrels.
Much of the City is forecasted to receive rain during the early part of this week, so for those who have already set up their barrels the benefits are already pouring in.
