To Reconstruct 15 Streets Citywide

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – At tomorrow’s regularly scheduled Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council will consider a key ordinance involving the FY 2023 Residential Street Rebuild Program (RSRP). The ordinance provides funding for construction contracts aimed at enhancing residential streets.

The contracts are with J.E. Construction Services, LLC for $5,135,727, Mako Contracting for $5,215,843, and Grace Paving and Construction, Inc. for $4,564,072. The projects focus on the reconstruction of 15 streets across the city. The ordinance also includes $8,718,007 from the unreserved fund balance from the FY 2024 Operating and Capital Budget for these projects.

This initiative is part of the city's ongoing efforts to advance Corpus Christi's commitment to a safe and sustainable urban infrastructure. The RSRP includes rehabilitating and reconstructing residential streets and other improvements like sidewalk repairs and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramp installations.
