City Council Receives a Mid-Point Briefing on the 10 Year Parks & Recreation Master Plan and the Bill Witt Park Master Plan

Update Included Interactive 3D Virtual Townhall and Interactive Park Map

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – At today’s regularly scheduled business meeting, City Council received a mid-point briefing on the 10-Year Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the Bill Witt Master Plan. The consulting firm, HALFF Associates, Inc., has been developing the plans with input from community stakeholders and on-site assessments of the City’s parks and facilities. The master plans will serve as guides for the growth and enhancement of City parks, public grounds, open spaces, and recreational assets.

During the briefing, HALFF Associates, Inc. announced the next phase of community engagement to gather input for the master plans. This includes an interactive 3D virtual town hall and an online mapping tool that will be made available to the community starting on August 10. These tools will allow citizens to engage with the City’s consultant and provide valuable feedback to improve our recreational spaces.

“The master plans are a great tool for the City to use as we make long and short-term goals to enhance the parks for our residents. We invite the public to actively participate in providing the feedback that will play a key role in shaping our plans for the future,” said Mayor Paulette Guajardo
