City Continues to Monitor High Wind Conditions

Residents are urged to take precautions.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City continues to monitor high wind conditions causing downed trees, damaged infrastructure, and road construction barricade obstructions. The City is responding to service calls and advises motorists to take precautions while driving. Residents should call the Customer Call Center at 361-826-CITY (2489) to report wind-related issues.

The strong winds continue to impact powerlines throughout the City, and residents should contact AEP to report any outages at 866-223-8508.

The National Weather Service is forecasting southeasterly winds between 20 and 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. This morning, Corpus Christi International Airport is reporting gusts at 60 mph. A High Wind Warning is in effect for Nueces County until 10:00 a.m. today. A small craft advisory is in effect for the bays and Gulf waters until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
