City Adds Additional Customers to Localized Boil Water Notice

The City of Corpus Christi issued a notice taking measures as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality late Friday issuing a localized boil water notice. Three areas with low chlorine levels were initially identified. Additional customers have now been added to include Ennis Joslin between Area 2 and Area 3. The newest information extends the boundary of area 2 to Oso Bay (attached map) and the city estimates roughly 70 water meters in the new area.  No E.coli has been found in the water distribution system.

The City is committed to bringing the chlorine levels back to normal as soon as possible.

The Customer Call Center will open Saturday and Sunday from 3 – 8 p.m. to answer questions from residents at (361) 826-CITY (2489) regarding the localized boil advisory. The City website will also have periodic updates at www.cctexas.com.
