Announcement of Sister City Program’s 2019 Summer Exchange Students

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – On Thursday, May 9, at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall’s Council Chambers, 1201 Leopard Street, the Sister City Committee and the Parks & Recreation Department will announce the 2019 Student Ambassadors traveling this summer to one of Corpus Christi’s Sister Cities.

The Student Exchange Program is an opportunity awarded to Corpus Christi high school sophomores and juniors who have outstanding academic and leadership performance; a good understanding of citizenship and what it means to be a city ambassador; and a keen interest in learning about the world outside of the United States. The students will spend several weeks with a host student and family. At the end of their stay, they will return with their host student to spend another couple of educational and fun-filled weeks in Corpus Christi.
