Announcement of Sister City Program's

2016 Summer Exchange Students

On Monday, March 7, 2016 at 5:30 pm at the Galvan House in Heritage Park, 1581 N. Chaparral St., the Sister City Committee and the Parks & Recreation Department invite all interested citizens to attend the announcement of the 2016 Corpus Christi Student Ambassadors, each of whom will be traveling this summer to one of Corpus Christi’s Sister Cities.

The Student Exchange Program is an opportunity awarded to Corpus Christi high school sophomores and juniors who have outstanding academic and leadership performance; a good understanding of citizenship and what it means to be an ambassador for Corpus Christi; and a keen interest in learning about the world outside of the United States. These selected high school students will spend two or three weeks in one of our Sister Cities over the summer with a host student and family. At the end of their stay, they will return with their host student to spend another two or three, educational and fun-filled weeks in Corpus Christi.

The Sister City Committee is a City Council appointed Commission.  For more information on the Sister City Student Exchange Program, donations, or membership information contact Reba George at

Please come and support the students, expand your world, and learn about the Sister Cities of Corpus Christi, Texas.  Your support will make a difference in the lives of our students and in the future of our community.
