Drought Stage 1

Following the extremely hot and dry conditions, the City of Corpus Christi has entered Stage 1 Mandatory Drought Restrictions. City Manager Peter Zanoni has declared Stage 1 Mandatory Drought Restrictions from the City’s 2018 Drought Contingency Plan (DCP) to conserve the available water supply. Parks Master Plan

 At a recently scheduled City Council meeting, the Parks & Recreation Department was joined by consulting firm HALFF Associates to provide the Council with the final briefing on the new proposed 10-Year Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the Bill Witt Park Master Plan. The proposed documents will serve as guides for the growth and enhancement of City parks, public grounds, open spaces, and recreational assets. Read More

Mental Health Services

At a recently scheduled City Council Meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council authorized a $64,000 service agreement with Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID), which is consistent with the service plan included in the City’s FY 2022 budget. Funds will help MHID provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Psychiatric evaluations allow the doctor to make a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan. Read More

2022 Highway Safety Improvements Program

 At a recently scheduled City Council meeting, Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council authorized an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in the amount of $17,548.10 for the reimbursement costs associated with three projects within the 2022 Highway Safety Improvements Program (HSIP).
