Water Boil Advisories Lifted for All But One Area

The City of Corpus Christi issued localized boil water advisories last week in response to low chlorine levels throughout the water system. Testing has confirmed all but one area has responded to the alternative disinfectant. The water boil advisories are lifted for all areas except for Airline to Texas A&M – Corpus Christi bounded by Ocean Drive to Alameda The remaining area should continue to follow the boil water advisory until further notice.

There is no timeline for releasing the last area remaining in the boil water advisory. Chlorine levels must be maintained and be free of bacteria for at least 48 hours prior to lifting a boil water advisory. City crews continue to work diligently in the area with increased hydrant flushing and sampling in an effort to stabilize the area as soon as possible.

More information on the boil water advisory can be found on the city website at www.cctexas.com.
