Utility Work to Affect Leopard St. Traffic

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The City of Corpus Christi Traffic Engineering office advises residents starting Wednesday, December 8, through Saturday, December 10, weather permitting; AEP will install underground cables on Lipan Street between Carancahua Street and Tancahua Street. As this project is ongoing, the two westbound lanes will be closed at Lipan Street. Westbound Lipan Street traffic will detour onto Carancahua Street, then onto Leopard Street, to Tancahua Street and back to Lipan Street. Lipan and Carancahua streets will be reduced to one lane at the intersection.

Traffic control devices will guide motorists through the construction site. Motorists should expect delays and if possible, seek alternate routes or avoid the area. Access to local driveways will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
