Texas Nature Challenge’s Closing Ceremonies Hosted at Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve on Saturday, November 14, 2015

The Coastal Bend region of the Texas Nature Challenge will be hosting Closing Ceremonies on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve & Learning Center. This is an opportunity for teams that completed the challenge to view others scrapbooks, enjoy activities from participating organizations, meet other teams and receive prizes for their work.

All families are welcome to attend the ceremonies, but only those who submitted scrapbooks or blog entries prior to the November 2 deadline are eligible for prizes. Prizes are donated by participating sites and organizations throughout the Coastal Bend.

The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve, Texas State Aquarium, Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve, Fulton Mansion and South Texas Children in Nature will have activities for families from 10 am to 11 am, prior to handing out the awards. Families who submitted physical materials for their Nature Challenge will have them returned at the Closing Ceremonies.

The media is invited to attend the ceremonies as a photo opportunity to document Closing Ceremonies and discuss families’ experiences during this year’s challenge. The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve & Learning Center is located at 2446 N. Oso Parkway, Corpus Christi, TX 78414 (map).
