Storm Debris Impacts City Recycling

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Since Hurricane Harvey, there has been an increase in the amount of trash placed in recycling bins. This causes contamination and all items have to be thrown away.

The City would like to remind citizens to only place recyclable items in the blue bin. The following are not accepted:

• Tree branches

• Yard waste

• Construction materials

• Trash

Brush and yard waste, as well as bulky items like construction materials, must be placed on the curb on scheduled pickup days.
