Second Call for 2018 Arts Grant Applications

Workshop Offered. Application Deadline is April 30.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi’s Arts & Cultural Commission is issuing a second call for Arts Grant applications to support arts and cultural projects that make our city a more attractive cultural destination to visitors. Applications are for matching grants of up to $15,000. The second call was made possible by the Arts & Cultural Commission decision to release unused funds, and to give organizations affected by Hurricane Harvey a second chance to apply.

Art Grants are available to 501c3 non-profit corporations and tax-exempt community-oriented organizations providing arts programs and activities within Corpus Christi. The funding source for the Arts Grant Program is the Hotel Occupancy Tax. To be considered for a grant award, all programs and activities submitted must meet state requirements to promote tourism and the convention and hotel industry.

All non-profit organizations interested in applying for an Arts Grant are encouraged to attend one of the following workshops offered on Tuesday, March 20 from 9–11:30am or 2–4:30pm. Space is limited, so call (361) 826-3489 early to register for a workshop.

Application deadline is 5pm on Monday, April 30, 2018. The online application form will be available starting Thursday, March 15, 2018 at www.ccparkandrec.com (click ‘Arts & Culture’). For more information, send an email to shellyr@cctexas.com or call (361) 826-3489.
