RSVP Volunteers Lend a Hand During MLK Day of Service

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - A Taft family has a new storage shed thanks to members of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and some other local organizations.

The groups got together on the MLK Day of Service to assist the family as part of Project Comeback: Texas, which helps people affected by Hurricane Harvey. RSVP volunteers worked alongside Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi, Inc. DCM Program, Hands of Hope and the Tool Bank.

The MLK Day of Service is intended to empower individuals and strengthen communities. The City's RSVP program is 332 volunteers strong, having served 42,230 volunteer hours during 2018.
