Firefighters Return to Duty

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Five firefighters were released from isolation today after being quarantined for two weeks.

On March 19, the firefighters responded to an EMS call for a patient experiencing cardiac issues. The patient was tested for COVID-19 on March 24 with positive results. The isolation directive was in response to the positive test.

During quarantine, the firefighters have shown no signs or symptoms of the Coronavirus. With the return to duty today of these five firefighters, the City has no first responders in quarantine at this time.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to ensuring the safety of first responders and will take necessary action to protect personnel, their families, and the community.
