Add “S.P.A.R.K.” to Your Kid’s Summer

Online Registration for Week 1 Will Begin on May 1

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – There’s a flurry of fun activities happening all summer long at city recreation centers — from playing Pool, Foosball, Air-Hockey and jumbo board games to getting creative with arts and crafts, as well as sports tournaments, guest speakers and so much more!

Add “S.P.A.R.K.” (Summer Programs and Recreation for Kids) to your children’s summer by registering them for it. This summer, the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department will start accepting registration for youth ages 6-16 on May 1. It’s an open campus program with general supervision that provides an environment in which children can learn and grow through recreation and social activities. It will run from June 10–August 2, Monday–Friday, from 11am–4pm at Joe Garza Recreation Center, Lindale Recreation Center, Oak Park Recreation Center, Oso Recreation Center, and Ben Garza Gym. FREE lunch and snack will be provided for each participant. Space is limited, so sign up early!

REGISTRATION: All attending youth must be pre-registered before the week starts, as well as be signed in by an adult each day. Online registration will be offered weekly on a first come first served basis at https://register.ccparkandrec.com/ for $25 per child per week. Space is limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged. Registration for Week 1 will be accepted from May 1–June 9. Registration for each following weekly session will open on Wednesdays at 8am and close on Sundays at 11pm (pending space) prior to the upcoming week. SCHOLARSHIPS are available for qualifying youth. Scholarship application forms will be available beginning May 1 and must be submitted in person at the center your child will attend. For more information, call 361-826-3472.
