2019 City Nature Challenge!

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve & Learning Center is partnering with cities across the nation to promote the City Nature Challenge. On the weekend of April 26–29,160+ cities all over the world will compete to see who can be the wildest city. Help us show that the Coastal Bend is full of cool birds, insects, plants and more!

Participating is simple. There is no registration, no cost. Photograph any wildlife that you find anywhere in or around the city. Then share those photos on the iNaturalist website or app! The iNaturalist website will even help you identify what you photograph. The only criteria is that the photos need to be taken during April 26–29 and uploaded by May 5. This will be a fun family friendly way to participate in documenting and learning more about the wildlife they find in their cities.
