Register May 5 for Latchkey Summer Camp 2018
First Opportunity to Register is May 5 at Corpus Christi Gym
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Summer is just around the corner, so now is the time to plan your children’s summer activities. The Latchkey Summer Camps program for youth ages 5 to 13 will hold its first registration opportunity on Saturday, May 5, from 9 am–12 pm at the Corpus Christi Gym, 3202 Cabaniss Parkway.
Like most parents with young children, you are looking for a quality program that is licensed to enroll your child in for fun and enriching activities during the summer.
The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Latchkey Summer Camps program is designed to serve the hectic lives of working and busy parents. It is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services which means that these camps meet high standards for child care and everyone is certified in CPR and First Aid.
The camps feature a wide-range of activities to explore their creativity and participate in physical and social play. Summers are a great time for your child to try new things, form friendships and learn positive life skills. Activities will include swimming, tennis, arts and crafts, guest speakers and field trips.
Our enthusiastic staff is professionally trained in child development and age appropriate activities. Free lunch and snacks will be provided to all qualifying sites through a grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture. Reasonable accommodations may be requested for a child with disabilities by contacting Program Manager John Delgado at (361) 826-3491.
