Travelers Urged to Check Flight Schedules

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Due to the winter weather that is materializing over much of Texas, local air travelers are being urged to check flight schedules before heading out to the Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA), visit www.corpuschristiairport.com, and select flights.

According to CCIA Marketing Manager Kim Bridger-Hunt, most flights have been canceled for the day. Anyone who is scheduled to fly to or through Corpus Christi International Airport in the next 48 hours should be in contact with their airline.

The runways at CCIA are open and will remain open. The CCIA Operations Team will be monitoring the condition of the runways late today, overnight and through the duration of this event. They will be checking for any ice forming on the surface. Should the need arise to close the runways, we will take the appropriate steps at that time.

For more information, media representatives may contact CCIA Marketing Manager Kim Bridger-Hunt at (361) 289-0171, ext.1290 or by email at kimb@cctexas.com.
