City Reveals Next “Dirty Dozen” Character in Recycling Campaign

How You Can Recycle Right

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi’s Solid Waste Services continues its Recycle Right campaign with the introduction of Waxy Wanda (also known as the milk/juice carton), another “least-wanted offender” who is part of The Recycling Bin’s Dirty Dozen.

Waxy Wanda is the second of 12 characters which will be featured over the course of the Recycle Right campaign. Details about how these “offenders” contaminate other good recyclables as well as helpful tips and information are featured on the City’s website at cctexas.com/recycleright and social media outlets. The campaign will also be used by Communities in Schools to teach CCISD elementary school students about the benefits of recycling.

When recycling is done wrong, it costs the City time and money. The goal of this campaign is to educate the public about what and how to recycle to help conserve resources more efficiently and protect the environment.
