Filing Period to begin for Mayoral Candidates

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - City Secretary Rebecca L. Huerta reminds everyone the Special Election to fill the vacancy in the office of Mayor will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017.

The filing period for Corpus Christi residents interested in running for the position begins on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, upon passage of the ordinance calling for the election, and will end on Monday, March 27, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. Candidate information, including application forms and the requirements for filing, can be found on the City’s website at www.cctexas.com.

Early voting will begin on April 24 and end on May 2, 2017. The last day to register to vote in the special election is April 6, 2017.
