Public Meeting for Greenwood Drive Improvements

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The City of Corpus Christi Engineering Services will host a public meeting to discuss and gather feedback in preparation of a street improvement project on Greenwood Drive from Gollihar Road to Horne Road. The public meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders in and around the project to ask questions regarding the construction of this project.

Interested citizens are invited to attend the open house at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday August 17 at Ben F. McDonald Public Library, 4044 Greenwood Dr.  Discussion will follow at 6:00 p.m.

This Bond 2012 project includes full-depth reconstruction of the existing four-lane road with continuous center turn lane, new curb & gutter, sidewalks, bus stops, pavement markings and striping. The new pavement will be asphalt. Utility improvements include water, wastewater, storm water and gas.

The bike route associated for this corridor was included under a separate project for the Hector Garcia Park as a joint MPO/City project and cost sharing under the Transportation Alternative Program. The bike route project is under design with a construction completion scheduled for spring 2017.

A brief description and projected construction schedule will be presented.
