Old Robstown Road Public Meeting Thursday

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi Engineering Services will host a public meeting of a street improvement project on Old Robstown Road from Highway 44 to Leopard Street. The public meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders in and around the project to ask questions regarding upcoming construction.

Citizens are invited to attend the open house at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Joe Garza Recreation Center, 3204 Highland Avenue. A presentation will follow at 6:00 p.m.

This Bond 2014 Prop 1 project includes full-depth reconstruction and reconfiguration of the existing two-lane roadway to a three-lane roadway with two travel lanes and a continuous center turn lane. The project includes new hot-mix asphalt pavement, concrete bus pads, curb & gutter, sidewalks, ADA ramps, pavement markings and an off-street two-way cycle track on one side. Utility improvements include water, storm water, wastewater, and gas. The project also includes replacement of the traffic signal at the Old Robstown and Up River Road intersection and street lighting upgrades.
