Never a Dull Moment for Kids in S.P.A.R.K. Program

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department invites the media to its Summer 2017 “S.P.A.R.K.” Recreation Program for a photo opportunity.

WHAT:         The “S.P.A.R.K.” program runs June 12–August 4, Monday–Friday, from 11am–4pm for children ages 6 to 16 at six locations. Youth have fun in the game room playing Pool, Foosball, Air-Hockey and jumbo board games. They can also get creative with arts and crafts like life-size paper dolls, crazy hats, and slime. There are also sports tournaments and guest speakers.

WHO:           327 boys and girls are participating in the program this week.                  

WHERE:      Oso Recreation Center, 1111 Bernice Drive

WHEN:         Best time for this photo opportunity is on Thursday, July 13, from 1–2pm.

WHY:            This open campus recreation program offers children an opportunity to enjoy fun activities and make new friends in a safe and positive environment. It is the perfect option for parents who are looking for a way to keep their kids entertained and out of trouble during the summer. Lunch and snack are provided free of charge. This program promotes a healthy and active lifestyle for youth.
