Meet Some New Assistant Directors Around the City

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - City Manager Peter Zanoni recently announced the appointment of Jiangang Deng as Wastewater Assistant Director, Alan Carlos as Information Technology (IT) Assistant Director and Philip Aldridge as Solid Waste Services Assistant Director for the City of Corpus Christi.

Deng has over 17 years of engineering experience including plant construction, pipeline inspection, and manufacturing. He has worked for the City of Corpus Christi since 2013 as an Engineer, joining the Water Utilities Department in 2017 as an Engineer Design Manager. Deng holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the Beijing University of Technology. 

Carlos has over 14 years plus of experience including applications, networking, security and other technology disciplines. He has been responsible for numerous large-scale implementations of technology systems. Carlos holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Angelo State University.

Aldridge has more than 12 years of waste industry experience, previously serving four years with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and seven years with US Ecology Texas in various roles. Aldridge holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Texas State University focusing in Hydrogeology and Watershed Management.
