Latchkey After School Program 2016-2017
First Opportunity to Pre-Register is August 2-4
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The first opportunity to pre-register for the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Latchkey After School Program is August 2-4, 2016.
This program is ideal for working parents seeking a safe and convenient place where their children are supervised after school. It is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. The program will operate during the school year August 22, 2016–June 2, 2017, Monday–Friday, from 3pm–6pm in conjunction with the CCISD, CISD and FBISD schedules.
IMPORTANT NEWS FOR PARENTS: Since registration will not be offered on the first day of school for the Latchkey After School Program, it is very important that all children be pre-registered. This is required if parents want their children to participate on the first day of school.
Our dynamic and creative staff is training in child development and age appropriate activities to encourage engagement from the children. All staff are certified in CPR and First Aid. Children build positive self-esteem through their involvement in a wide-range of activities which include recreation and fitness skills. Parents may request reasonable accommodations for their child with disabilities by contacting Mickela Hernandez at 361-826-3486. For more information about the program, call 361-826-3499.
