Health District to offer Free Quit Smoking Classes

Robstown residents who want to quit smoking will have the opportunity to attend free smoking cessation classes offered by the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service located at the Johnny Calderon Building at 710 East Main Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This is a 4 part, 1 hour class series that lasts 4 weeks.  The classes will take place April 6-April 27th every Wednesday for the month of April.

The class curriculum is based on the American Cancer Society’s Fresh Start Program.  Noelia Rodriguez, Health Education Specialist and Luz Saenz, Program Coordinator will serve as facilitators for the classes. 

The program is made possible through the Texas Healthy Communities Program.
