Health District to Hold Spring Fling
at Flour Bluff WIC Office
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Spring is right around the corner and the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District is ready to celebrate.
The 2017 Spring Fling family fun FREE event will be take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Flour Bluff Women, Infants and Children (WIC) satellite office, located at 1456 Waldron Road. The Health District invites everyone to come learn about WIC benefits available for those who qualify.
There will also be free information available on diabetes and other chronic illnesses, and immunizations. Blood pressure checks and the A1C diabetes test will be offered at no cost. No fasting is required for the A1C test. Children will be entertained by the Pokemon character, Pikachu, along with face painting, door prizes, games, and free food and drinks.
Representatives from Patient Navigators, Texas Healthy Communities, Immunizations, La Costa Dental and the Nueces County Community Action Agency will be available to talk about these Health District programs.
