First Responders Quarantined Return to Duty

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Late today test results were received for the patient of the motor vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Testing occurred because the patient transported from the motor vehicle accident exhibited COVID-19 symptoms when admitted to the hospital. All first responders, four police officers and six firefighter/paramedics, involved in the motor vehicle accident have been cleared to return to duty due to the negative test results.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to ensuring the safety of first responders and will take necessary action to protect personnel, their families, and the community.
