First Responders Awarded Life Saving Medals

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Recently, several Corpus Christi firefighters were honored by Fire Chief Robert Rocha for their heroic lifesaving actions.

On August 19, 2017, crews responded to a victim inside a house engulfed in flames. While some of the first responders worked to put the blaze out, others entered the structure to locate the victim. Once the team was able to reach the man and treat him, he was transported to a nearby hospital where he recovered.

Fire Chief Robert Rocha presented the following firefighters with life saving medals:

Medal of Valor: Firefighter I Paramedic Joseph Michael Rodriguez

Life Saving Awards: FFII Paramedics Patrick Frost, Michael Salinas and Firefighter I Paramedic John Thompson

Unit Commendations: Engine 3 crew and Engine 10 crew
