City Recreation Facilities Update

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department has opened four recreation facilities with extended hours of operation for youth so they may have a safe place to go until school starts. Children need to bring sack lunches.

The following facilities will be open starting today, August 30, until Friday, September 1, 2017, from 10am to 6pm:

  • Lindale Recreation Center, 3133 Swantner Drive
  • Joe Garza Recreation Center, 3204 Highland Avenue
  • Oak Park Recreation Center, 842 Erwin Drive
  • Ben Garza Gym, 1815 Howard Street

The remaining sites will remain closed until electricity is restored: Oso Recreation Center and Oveal Williams Senior Center.
