City, NASCC, CCAD Celebrate Completion of Projects

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City, Naval Air Station Corpus Christi (NASCC), and the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) recently celebrated the completion of two military base improvement projects.

The CCAD Security Enclave Project includes new perimeter security fencing, turnstiles, vehicle sliding gates, surveillance systems with cameras and access controls, and miscellaneous sidewalk, driveway and landscaping improvements.

The NASCC Underground Water Pipeline Extension Project runs along Ocean Drive. This project was broken up into two phases; phase one extends from Island Boulevard to the U.S. Navy property limits and phase two extends to the NASCC ground storage tank.

Both projects were funded by the Defense Economic Adjustment Assistant Grants (DEAAG). DEAAG funding is intended to enhance the security and sustainability of military bases.
