City Manager Meets Citizens at Celebration
Members of the public eagerly awaited their chance to meet Corpus Christi City Manager Margie C. Rose, and the 14-year City employee did not disappoint.
On the job for more than a month, Rose knows how to gracefully work a room, giving citizens her undivided attention.
The local chapter of the NAACP recently sponsored a meet and greet, at the Oveal Williams Senior Center. More than 100-people attended, showing support for the City's first woman and first black person to serve as city manager.
Colleagues describe Rose as a natural leader with experience, integrity and a proven record for successfully handling complex City issues.
With her husband, Erskine, by her side, Rose shared her commitment to move the community forward.
"When I'm in, I'm all in, not halfway," Rose said.
