City Designated "Storm Ready"

For the 11th year, the National Weather Service has designated the City of Corpus Christi as part of its “Storm Ready” program. That means the City is ready for a natural disaster, thanks to year around planning, preparation and use of the latest high technology. The City's Emergency Operation Center and its partners were recently recognized by the local office of the National Weather Service during a City Council meeting. “Storm Ready” encourages communities to take a new, proactive approach to improving local hazardous weather operations by providing emergency managers with clear-cut guidelines on how to improve their weather operations.
