BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - The City of Corpus Christi has been granted approval to lift the water boil advisory from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) effective immediately. Water samples have consistently demonstrated improved chlorine disinfectant levels throughout the entire water system. City staff continues to closely monitor the situation with water samples taken throughout the City as part of the overall water quality program. There continues to be no E.coli.

Residents can now flush pipes for a few minutes and begin using water as normal. Since there was no E.coli detected, water filters do no need to be replaced but a general clean/sanitize is recommended for any equipment that has not been in use during the boil water advisory. Always refer to manufacturer’s instructions for properly cleaning.
