Animal Care Services will Temporarily Take in Lost Pets

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Until 7:00 p.m. tonight, the City of Corpus Christi Animal Care Services (CCACS), located at 2626 Holly Road, will accept lost pets on a temporary basis. Many pets were separated from their families during Hurricane Harvey. CCACS will assist in helping reunited these pets by verifying microchips and following-up on information provided on tags. Residents can drop off lost pets in the Vector Control parking lot located behind CCACS off Civitan Drive and Holly Road.

Lost pets typically have tags, a collar and/or are well groomed. At this time, CCACS has up to 30 open kennels. Residents can also visit the facility to see if their pets are residing at the shelter.

If citizens come in contact with aggressive strays in the neighborhoods, they can call (361) 886-2600 for pickup.
